Jacob Ogan came to Boyce College from Gray, Tennessee, looking for a place where his faith and his education could grow together. He found both, and more.
Ogan, who graduated with a degree from the Communications Seminary Track, arrived at Boyce after a conversion experience in high school reshaped his priorities for college. He wanted an environment where Christian formation and academic rigor went hand in hand.

On Thursday, May 7, 2026, the Boyce College Class of 2026 gathered on the Seminary Lawn for the school’s 28th Commencement Ceremony, a day Mohler described as “rightly marked with ceremony, rightly characterized by celebration, rightly both heavy and light on our hearts.” Faculty, family, and friends joined together on a beautiful spring morning to give thanks for what God has done in these graduates and to commission them for the work ahead.

Any elementary school teacher will tell you that managing a classroom of nine-year-olds requires more than lesson plans and textbooks. It demands patience, organization, and the ability to care for students from all walks of life. Now in his third year of teaching, Caleb Bledsoe says the preparation he received at Boyce College made a lasting difference as he stepped into his first classroom.

When students at Boyce College talk about studying worship, they rarely mean something abstract. For Boyce’s music and worship students, training happens in classrooms and rehearsal spaces, but it is intentionally carried into the life of the local church.

Southern Seminary and Boyce College recently welcomed hundreds of guests to campus for their fall Preview Days, an opportunity for prospective students to experience firsthand what makes these institutions distinct. On October 10, 147 guests attended Southern Seminary’s Preview Day. The following week, October 16–17, Boyce College hosted 320 visitors for its largest fall Preview event ever.

Boyce College announced that Claire Aguda will join the faculty in the spring semester as Assistant Professor of Politics and Humanities. Aguda brings a strong background in the conservative intellectual movement, higher education, and cultural renewal initiatives to Boyce College.

The Fall 2025 convocation at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Boyce College marked the beginning of a new academic term, celebrating the new while grounding all the work of the seminary and college in the unchanging Christian faith.

Boyce College is pleased to announce the appointment of David Haines as Associate Professor of Philosophy. With an exceptional academic background and with extensive teaching and publishing experience, Haines brings a rich blend of classical philosophy and deep theological reflection to the Boyce College faculty.

President R. Albert Mohler Jr. has announced the appointment of Ryan Lister as the new Dean of Students at Boyce College. Lister will also join the faculty, bringing over two decades of experience in theological education and pastoral ministry to the Boyce community.

Boyce College welcomed a record-breaking number of prospective students and their families to campus for its largest Preview Day in history, March 27–28.

The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced Daniel Smith of Boyce College as the recipient of the 2025 Pete Maravich Award for Men’s Basketball.
