New Student Checklist

Your Transition-to-Boyce Checklist

  • Familiarize yourself with the Boyce College and SBTS Back to Campus plan. The Back to Campus webpage has the most up to date information about Boyce College and SBTS’s plans and policies for this fall. Read through the webpage and all the linked material to know what to expect and check back often to see the latest updates.

 

  • Check Your Student Email Daily. Your student email is your main source of communication from Boyce. Check it daily for timely information about campus-wide news, events, and opportunities. Sign in to your student email here. If you forget your email address or password, check your acceptance letter or contact Campus Technology (campustechnology@sbts.edu; 502-897-4006).

 

  • Schedule a COVID-19 Test. All students must provide a negative COVID-19 test result dated on or after August 3rd before they will be allowed to move into the dorms, attend class, or work on campus. Students have the option of being tested off-campus or on-campus. If a student is tested off-campus, they need to arrange for the test to be administered on or after August 3rd and they must upload their test results into their mySBTS account under the COVID Reentry tab. Antibody tests will not be accepted. If a student is being tested on-campus, they need to book an appointment with the Campus Clinic. Students local to Louisville can schedule a testing time on or after August 3rd. Students traveling to campus should schedule a time on move-in day, Friday, August 14th. The Campus Clinic will be administering tests in Ingram Hall, located in the W.O. Carver building. The Campus Clinic will administer a rapid test, so students should have their results within an hour. This must be your first stop when you arrive to campus.

 

  • Complete the mandatory forms in mySBTS under the COVID Reentry tab. All students must submit the forms found under the COVID Reentry tab in mySBTS. Students have the right to not sign the waiver and covenant, but those students will not be permitted to take classes on campus. They will be required to take classes online.

 

  • Register for a Move-In Time. If you are being COVID tested off-campus or on-campus before move-in day (for local students), you may sign up for any move-in time available. If you are being COVID tested when you arrive on move-in day, then make sure you schedule your move-in time for at least an hour after your COVID testing appointment. For example, if you are scheduled to be tested at 10am, you should schedule your move-in time for 11am or later. We want to help you transition to Boyce College, so make sure that we know you’re coming. Register here.

 

  • Register for Classes (if you haven’t yet) and Recheck Your Class Schedule. Classes start August 17th, and My.sbts.edu is your one-stop-shop for all academic information. Log in (using the username and password you received in your acceptance email) to register for your classes. Make sure to complete the Student Information Form first so you can register! Due to the need for social distancing in the classroom, the course schedule has changed from when it was initially published. Some classes may have moved locations or even time slots. Double-check your class schedule to make sure you know where and when your classes meet.   • Apply for Housing. Yes, there is still space for you. All single Boyce students under the age of 22 are required to live on campus. Submit your housing application online ($25.00 application fee).

 

  • Apply for Financial Aid. Financial Aid is available to students seeking tuition assistance. Apply for aid by July 1st for the fall semester and by December 1st for the spring semester.

 

 

  • Look for Employment.  Visit the SBTS employment page for current opportunities and application materials for on-campus jobs. For off-campus jobs, check the weekly Employment Bulletin here (you must first be logged into your student email to view it).

 

  • Review Fee Schedule. Log into my.sbts.edu and review the 2020-2021 fee schedule.

 

  • Submit the Membership Verification Form. All non-SBC students seeking to obtain the SBC tuition rate should submit their Membership Verification Form before the first tuition payment is due, August 24th. Complete this form and submit via email to admissions@sbts.edu.

 

  • Read the Student Handbook. All incoming students are responsible to read the entire student handbook. 

 

  • Engage on Social Media. Follow @SBTS and @BoyceCollege on Twitter. Follow @SBTStech and @SBTSpolice for active updates, helpful tips, and news from our campus.

 

  • Make Your First Tuition Payment. Log into my.sbts.edu (using the username and password you received in your acceptance email) to pay your tuition or set up payment now through August 24th.

 

  • Arrive at Your Scheduled Testing and/or Move-In Time. Your Boyce experience begins on August 14th. Come excited, come ready to see the Lord work in your life in powerful ways, and, please, come on time. See you soon!
