  • *Students must register for this course during their first semester of study. All course work is completed online. There is no fee for this course.
  • **This course is required for all on-campus students and should be completed during their first on-campus semester. Successful completion of BC 101 is required for graduation from Boyce College. There is no charge for this course.

Learning Outcomes

  • Students will be able to demonstrate a knowledge of the Bible, interpret Scripture’s original meaning, and apply Scripture to contemporary situations.
  • Students will be able to integrate systematic and historical theology into a larger biblical framework.
  • Students will be able to demonstrate, conceptually and practically, a biblical worldview within the professional area of Business Administration.
  • Students will be able to explain the holistic concept of Business as Mission with respect to the fundamental concepts of business.
  • Students will recognize and recall key issues from accounting, economics, management, marketing, ethics, and finance, as well as international business issues.

Graduates of Boyce's Business program will have a variety of career options available to them. Depending on what concentration you pursue, students could pursue careers in business as missions, marketing, finance and accounting, entrepreneurial start-ups, or within the non-profit sector of business.

    Degree Emphases

    The Entrepreneurial Management emphasis will prepare students for management jobs in small and medium businesses as well as give students the tools to be a part of an entrepreneurial start-up venture.

    The Global Management emphasis gives students a semester long study abroad program where they are working and living overseas with a team that is operating a business or organization while doing cross-cultural ministry. Done only in conjunction with the Hands On Program of the IMB.
