Accreditation


The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. The seminary is also accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada (10 Summit Park Drive, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15275-1103; telephone number (412) 788-6505) and is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music (11250 Roger Bacon Drive, Suite 21, Reston, Virginia 22090; telephone number (703) 437-0700).

The Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (P5): State Certification received provisional accreditation by the Kentucky Educational Professional Standards Board (EPSB) in August 2018 to offer coursework that leads to certification in the state of Kentucky. Additionally, the program adheres to the rigorous national standards for educator preparation set by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and is in Phase III of the national accreditation application process.
