New Student Checklist

Here are your next steps to becoming a Bulldog!

  • Set up your student profile
    • We’ve sent you a Boyce Student Login email (to the email account we have on file with your application). Included in this email is your Boyce student ID and student username, along with information and instructions for setting up the following accounts:
    • You can see this same information on your application portal. Feel free to call us at 502-897-4201 if you have any questions!
  • Check your student email
    • Included in your initial student login email from Admissions will be your student email address
      (studentID@students.sbts.edu). It will be important to check this email often as it is the institution’s primary means of communicating with students. You can login at www.gmail.com using the password you have setup in your SBTS Profile.
  • Apply for Financial Aid
    • The priority deadline for the Academic Excellence scholarship for Fall 2024 has passed. The Fall 2025 deadline is January 10, 2025.
    • July 1st is the standard financial aid deadline for all other scholarships at Boyce College.
    • To apply for Boyce financial aid, complete the College Board CSS Profile.

      • Federal ID: 001982-00 (for 529 plans)
    • Search and apply for outside scholarship opportunities here
    • Boyce elects to not participate in federal financial aid programs, therefore you do not need to complete the FAFSA.
  • Apply for Housing
    • Complete the housing application linked here.
    • All single Boyce students under the age of 22 are required to live on campus. If you qualify for an exemption to our housing policy, you need to fill out the residential exemption request form.
    • Student Housing can be reached by phone (502-897-4227) or email (boycestudentlife@sbts.edu).
  • Register for Classes
    • Class registration is completed through your MySBTS account. Visit our registration help page for assistance with signing up for classes.
    • Check here for updated registration dates.
    • Before you are able to register for classes, you’ll need to complete the Student Information form. This form is located under “Student Tools” on MySBTS.
    • Contact your Academic Advisor if you have questions regarding transfer credits or course selection. Visit our Advising Webpage to sign up for an appointment.
    • Tuition payment information and the fee schedule can be found under the “Account Information” tab on MySBTS. The payment portal typically opens a few weeks before classes start. On-campus tuition payments are due by the end of the first week of class.
  • Get familiar with Canvas and MySBTS
    • As a student, you will utilize your MySBTS account. You will also have access to your “Canvas” account, which is the portal through which you will interact with your courses. You will only be able to access Canvas once you have registered for classes through MySBTS. Below is a brief description of what each portal provides.
  • Sign up for Orientation and Move-In!
    • Fall 2024 Orientation and Move-In begins Thursday, August 15th, 2024. When registration is available, you’ll be able to sign up on the Student Life webpage.
    • If you have questions regarding Orientation and Move-in, please contact Boyce Student Life by phone (502-897-4227) or by email (boycestudentlife@sbts.edu).
    • All main-campus students are required to submit an “Authorization of Release of Information” and “Health Information Privacy” form prior to Orientation. Log into your application portal to access and fill out the forms.
    • The Fall 2024 semester begins on Monday, August 19th. View the full academic calendar here.
  • Submit a photo for your Student ID
    • Follow the instructions on this webpage carefully to ensure that your ID is waiting on you when you arrive.
